Quick Staycation w/ Seda Hotel Using Traveloka Apps

It was a quick stay with Seda Hotel using Traveloka apps. Still, what matters most was the quality time spent with the family that made my advance birthday celebration a memorable to cherish.

When my son told me he will go home this weekend to advance celebrate my birthday which was supposed to be February 2, honestly, I almost forgot.

It was not possible to meet us next week nor be present on the exact day due to work reasons. He would like to make time to be with us even in a short span of period.

When I was asking my daughter, she got work this weekend. Wife Jinkee has also some deadlines to meet on the week ahead.

One thing that I always asked on my birthday always is to celebrate it with family, that is to be complete.

What I did was to meet all ends, that is, a quick staycation where wife can also work, near to my daughter’s work place and my son can drop by where we can spend two days together.

We choose Seda Hotel in Nuvali. Yes, it’s a neighborhood hotel which was just almost across to my workplace or almost 25 minutes to our residence.

Everyday yet every weekend, a look on the said hotel is just enough but never have a chance to visit it.

When I ask my wife a quick way to book the place, she told me to drop by after work. It’s already Friday. She suggested to better use hotel booking apps like Traveloka. She also saw on their website that there is ongoing hotel promo one can avail.

What I did was to download the Traveloka via Google apps.

1. Once the said travel apps is open, choose Hotel.

2. Since I was in Laguna, it easily detected my location and suggested different private resorts / hotel near me.

3. Since I got already a hotel in my mind, what I did was to search Seda Hotel that also suggest other location.

4. Once I chose it with the dates, it displayed the facilities and also nearby attraction.

5. Since I book Friday night and have to stay in a weekend, only 1 room left available. What I did was to click it to formerly book the room. My wife is correct. I grabbed the more than 30% discount based on the published rate where I saved P 1,500.00

6. There is still a review process before continuing the payment.

7. After reviewing, there are three (3) kinds of payment – credit card, over-the-counter (paid via convenient store like 7-11) and bank counter. Below the hotel price is the coupon that can be use if there are available promos available. After choosing the payment, a notice will be displayed that it is processing.

8. After that, a message again will be displayed that payment has been received.

9. Voucher is being processed which I can view via my booking. I even got an email confirmation with the attached travel voucher and payment receipt.

Now family staycation is really ready. I have done my booking hotel confirmation via Traveloka for less than 5 minutes. Swift yet easy.

The inside lobby is much glamorous that speak to itself of elegance and artistic ambiance featuring notable artists like Kenneth Cobonpue and Ann Pamintuan. Picture portraits are also displayed taken by Paco Guerrero and Jaime Zobel de Ayala.

We got an early check-in that is verified immediately.

Since we book almost a day already, De Luxe Queen Size bed room is what left from us. It’s just ok because literally only 2 of us would stay overnight while kiddos will drop in. We can all be gathered by breakfast.

All amenities are almost complete to feel that you are home:

Hygienic blankets and pillow even we felt that those fluffy pillows are too small
Entertainment like large LCD with cable
High-speed Internet connection
Complimentary bottled mineral water /coffee/tea/sugar sachets
Use of electric pot

This what wife Jinkee preferred and made her amazed to work during our stay – an Executive Desk and comfortable chair, IDD phone, alarm clock and media panel that can connect via HDMI, USB and audio-visual.

Complete toiletries are also available but still we prefer to use own brand preferences. Phone and hair blower are handy to use. Hot and cold from the basin to the shower are also accessible. Maybe an installation of bidet to use will make the bathroom perfect.

After getting enough rest like eating, watching television, doing internet surf, we went to their outdoor semi-olympic swimming pool as me and my kiddo did some lapse competition for several turns.

I thought we were done, we went down again on the 2nd floor using their fitness center, petite, still we find it complete in gym equipment such as s treadmills as well as weights area ready for workout.

Going up for a quick snack, we check the play room with computer games and hockey area – a recreation area not only for kids but adults like us.

They have also a Mac computers available at the lobby.

Yes, our early as in early morning would be a jog around with wife as in finally she took a break – too inviting for people who also do their morning exercise along the area while kids are still sleeping.

We cannot get tired to stroll around the greenery landscape especially Seda Hotel is just beside the lakeshore area which also took me time to shoot.

I let also my wife to visit the back of Nuvali which is still new.

Part of staying is a free buffet breakfast prepared by Misto Restaurant. Considered the food offering is focus more on Filipino cuisine where one can take it as a brunch. Heavy intake I may say.

The jog outside depicted its purpose as we indulge ourselves to be full. I’m not a breakfast person. Coffee is enough for me every morning. Since it’s rare that family is complete, got refreshing and big appetite to eat with them.

What made me it more special when the staff personally asked us if there is a special occasion we are celebrating. To my surprise, a simple blueberry cake with a candle to blow was prepared.

Got to invite my wife to swim with us for the last hours of staying even the fresh breeze made the water too cold for dipping.

Yes, my son already left us, daughter will be preparing for a night work, my youngest will be going for the Youth for Christ church service while wife will be continuing her month-end deadline that we don’t have the choice but to have our separate lives facing each responsibility.
